MARCH 7, 2010 - WED.

Today was our first non-driving day.We woke to another sunny day. We went for a bike ride around the camp & through part of the park. The bike path took us across several wooden bridges which were over swamps. I kept watching for alligators. Later we went for a hike through a nature trail. I was a little nervous of seeing critters or snakes (which signs along the way said live there). The pictures are from our walk. It was a rather long hike & I was beat by the time we got back to our RV, but Richard is like the energizer bunny, he doesn't get tired, he just keeps going. I don't know where his energy comes from. (Of course when he goes to bed he is out like a light in about 5 min.) It was so nice out we decided to play a relaxing game of scrabble out on the picnic table. Richard won by only 2 points! After supper it was getting dark so he built a fire in the pit and we played cards by lantern light. Being a state park, there is very little light at night and it gets pitch dark, but all of the RV's have outdoor lights. It was the first time I ever won Richard at spades! Tomorrow we are off to Panama City Beach which is about 3-4 hours away depending on traffic.
