This morning we headed out for our next campsite in St.George Island Park. We had to cross a 5 mile bridge across part of the Gulf of Mexico to get to St.George Island. All the houses on the Island are built on stilts because of high waves. There are some really fancy homes on the Island. The park ranger said the campsites are completely booked for the entire month, so it was a good thing we had reservations. We got the RV all hooked up & level, then went down to the beach which is about 1/4 mile from the park. The parking lot is real close to the beach so we didn't have far to carry our things. I relaxed on the beach & Richard walked the beach with his detector. He found an allen wrench, a nail, a tent spike and a kids toy figure! Big treasures! The waves were pretty high & a red flag was flying which meant no swimming, but you could walk along the beach water. Tomorrow we plan on spending most of the day at the beach. It is so relaxing to sit & watch the waves. We will take pictures. Today we brought the camera with us, but found out the batteries were dead.

MARCH 11 - SUN & MARCH 12 - MON., 2012
Yesterday being Sunday, we went to church at St.Bernadette's. After church on the way back to our RV we saw a huge flea market so we stopped. A lot of junk, but I saw an Avon table so I bought some skin-so-soft which I've heard is supposed to repel mosquitoes, and being that the weather is getting warmer & we are staying at state parks, I thought it might come in handy. Later Maryjo & Paul came to our campsite for a cook-out. We had bar-be-que chicken, Richard was the cook. Maryjo made Richard a pineapple upside down cake for his birthday (see pictures). We bid them good-bye because we were leaving Panama City in the morning.
