FRI. - We went to a huge flea market and farmers market in Marion County, about 1/2 hr. away.
we did" A LOT" of walking!! Richard bought a fishing pole from a guy for $5.00. (he decided to try his hand at fishing!) Then when we got back to our RV, he found out that to fish he would have to get a license for $30.00! Well that took care of that! He said he will wait till we get back to IL to try fishing.
SAT. - We woke to a cloudy morning, rain was predicted. We decided to take a ride to Seffner, FL which is about 2 hours away. There is a large camping & RV center there. Richard is looking for "stabilizing jacks" for the RV. They keep it from rocking when you walk in it while it is level. We did find them there. It was a nice ride even tho it rained on & off most of the day. We saw other parts of FL. By the time we got back to Silver Springs, it was 7:00, so we stopped for fast food for supper & watched a movie. By the way the jacks work good. Now I can put my mascara on without poking my eye! ( It never failed, in the morning while I was getting ready, Richard would decide to move around the RV while I was putting my make-up on!)
SUN. - We found another church to attend (We like to attend new churches) This one was called Our Lady of the Shrine. It was a pretty church & being Palm Sunday, it was a very nice service. Richard watched a race on TV, so I did some shopping. It got very humid in the afternoon, so we went to the campsite pool. The water was very refreshing. Later we went to play mini-golf, but by the time we found the place, it was already dusk & it was already closed! So we stopped for supper at" Lee's" - which their ad stated they served their "famous chicken " & I have to admit it was really good.
MON. -A very Happy 19th Birthday to our grandson, Jacob! The weather was predicted to be in the 90's, so we spent the day at Daytona Beach. It is spring break for elementary schools, so the beach was full. But we found a nice place to put our chairs. The water was just right & the waves were not real big. Richard brought his bike & did some riding on the packed sand. I just enjoy getting wet & sitting and people watching. (You see it all on the beaches!!) & reading my Nook. Richard did some metal detecting, his treasurers this trip were "0", he didn't find one thing!! (except some bottle tops) But we enjoyed the day, we stayed there until after 5:00 & had to move back our chairs & things 4 times, as the tide was coming in, otherwise our towels & things would get wet. It is supposed to be in the 90's tomorrow, so we plan on going back. We love the beach!!
