MARCH 3, 2012 - TUES.

Today we spent a great day at the beach. It was very warm today (low 90's) but it was great at the beach. A huge fish came very close to shore & everyone was running to see it. Someone hollered that it was a shark, but it turned out that it was a manatee - something like a dolphin. Around 4:00 the tide started to roll in, but unlike yesterday when it rolled in slowly, today it came in very fast. We were told that this was called a very high tide. I couldn't believe it, it seemed like the whole ocean raised up in a matter of minutes! It was unreal, and the waves got fast & large. It really was amazing to see. We moved our chairs & things way back, but a lot of people were in the water & did not realize the tide was coming in so fast so there was a lot of wet towels, chairs & coolers. Rain is predicted for tomorrow.
