APRIL 4- WED. & APRIL 5 - THURS., 2012

WED. - Another hot, humid day,no rain. So off to the beach again. We had to do some shopping for supplies in the morning, so we got to the beach later than usual, & it was crowded. I put my chair down by the shore line (it is a low beach chair), so the waves can come up by my feet & keep me cool. Well the waves today were faster & larger then previous days. A large wave came in fast and hard and completely knocked me & my chair over! I can say that the ocean is certainly salty because I think I drank a cup of it! When the waves come in, it stirs up the sand. I even had sand in my ears!! Richard was deeper in the water and so he didn't see my "graceful" tumble. It sure would have made a good picture if he had the camera. I was on my hands and knees trying to get up & grab my chair & the waves kept knocking me down. Needless to say, for the rest of the day I kept my chair farther away from the shore, but later the tide came rolling in very fast and Richard was riding his bike down the beach and I couldn't move our things fast enough and everything got wet. So it really was a wet beach day!

THURS. Today was a catch up day. Doing laundry & cleaning. It was hot, so later we went to the pool here at the campsite. We met a lady who is a "full timer" which means that she lives in her RV. She got divorced, sold her horse farm & home and bought a brand new RV & travels state to state by herself. Her RV is a trailer which she pulls with her new truck. She is from Virginia. She said she loves to travel and never was able to because of running a horse farm. I don't know how she does it by herself. There is so much to take care of in an RV & hooking it up at the campsites. I give her credit, but I could never do this alone. We do enjoy our vacations in the RV, but we like having a place to come home to, and would miss our family.
