Feb. 24 - 25 -Mon. & Tues.

It was about a 5 hour drive to our next site Huntington Beach S.C. St. Park. Weather was great, sunny around 68 degrees. It is a very well kept campsite and huge. There are 135 sites. There are pretty many campsites filled. A lot of RV's and even people in tents this early in the season. This is really a nice park. Our site is right across from a boardwalk that leads to a beach. By the time we got checked in and hooked up, it was cooling off. We took our bikes on the boardwalk down to the beach. It is a beautiful sand beach, just the kind we like, fine sand not shell/rocky. We will surely be spending a lot of our time here. We are at this site till Fri. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.
We woke Tues to a sunny day... Beach here we come!! The beach is only about a 5min walk down the boardwalk. I took my chair & nook and I was set. Richard took his metal detector. Of course the water is way too cold yet, and no lifeguards are on duty yet ,but the sun was nice. After a couple of hours the sun went behind the clouds and a breeze blew in from the water & it got really chilly. So we went back to our RV and went for a bike ride around the campground. (Richard didn't find a single thing with his detector today, not even a penny!)
